Kort samengevat
In this drawing lesson, you will learn step-by-step how to draw a monarch butterfly using simple shapes. We start with the body and then finish the large, decorated wings.
Stappen
Draw a small circle for the head and draw a straight guide line downwards.
Under the head, create two ovals for the thorax and the abdomen of the butterfly.
From the center, draw two diagonal lines upwards for the top of the wings.
Finish the large upper wings by drawing curved lines back towards the body.
Now draw two smaller, round shapes at the bottom for the hindwings.
Give the butterfly two graceful antennae on its head and make the body slightly thicker.
Draw the lines inside the wings; this looks a bit like a spider web.
Add small circles along the edges of the wings for the famous spots.
Erase the guide lines and draw some grass under your butterfly to finish it off.
