Drawing a spotted hyena

Animals
Hi young artist! Today we are going to draw a very special animal from the savannah: the spotted hyena. Grab your pencil and eraser, because we are going to work step by step. Have fun drawing!
1
Basic shapes of a hyena: a small circle and a large oval as guide lines.
Draw a small circle for the head and a large horizontal oval for the body.
2
The neck lines and a tail line connecting the head to the body.
Connect the head and the body with two lines for the neck and draw a curved line for the tail.
3
Guide lines for the four legs and a small protrusion for the snout.
Draw four straight lines downwards for the legs and a small snout on the head.
4
Thicker legs and small oval feet at the bottom of the guide lines.
Make the legs thicker by drawing lines around the guide lines and add small feet.
5
Large round ears on the head and a full tail shape.
Draw two large, round ears on top of the head and make the tail a bit thicker.
6
Details of the face such as the eye, nose, and mouth line.
Draw a small round eye, a little nose, and the line of the mouth in the snout.
7
Details of the legs with knee bends and small toes.
Give the legs knees and draw small toes at the bottom of the feet.
8
The hyena gets spots and small strokes that look like hairs.
Draw small, dark spots all over the body and add short strokes for the fur.
9
The completed hyena drawing without guide lines and with a bit of grass.
Erase the guide lines and draw some grass under the paws to finish the drawing.
