Drawing a Stately Crane

Birds
Hi young artist! Today we are going to draw a very special bird: the crane. This bird has beautiful long legs and can walk very gracefully. Grab your pencil and eraser, and let's get started together!
1
Basic shapes of a crane: a small circle and a large oval.
Draw a small circle for the head and a large horizontal oval for the body.
2
Two lines connecting the head and the body of the bird.
Connect the head and the body with two curved lines for the long neck.
3
A line for the beak and a short line at the back for the tail.
Draw a long straight line for the beak and a guide line for the tail.
4
Two long vertical lines under the large oval for the legs.
Place two long, thin lines under the body for the legs.
5
Thicker shapes for the beak and the legs of the bird.
Now make the beak and the legs a bit thicker by drawing extra lines around them.
6
Details such as an eye, toes on the legs, and the shape of a wing.
Draw a wing on the body and add the toes and a small eye.
7
Refined lines for the feathers and the neck of the crane.
Draw beautiful feathers on the tail and make the shapes of the neck a bit softer.
8
The finished crane drawing without guide lines and with some grass.
Erase the guide lines, trace the outer lines darkly, and draw some grass under the legs.
