Drawing a cheerful robin in 8 steps

Birds
Hi little artist! Today we are going to draw a beautiful robin. You can recognize this little bird by its lovely red breast and round belly. Grab your pencil and paper, and let's get started together!
1
Basic shapes of a bird: a small circle above a larger oval.
Draw a small circle for the head and a larger oval underneath for the body.
2
The circle and oval are now connected with a neck and a diagonal line for the tail.
Connect the head and the body with two short lines for the neck and draw a guide line for the tail.
3
A bird shape with a small beak and two thin legs at the bottom.
Place a small triangle on the head for the beak and draw two straight lines under the body for the legs.
4
The bird gets a wing on its back and a sturdier beak.
Draw a curved line on the back for the wing and make the beak slightly thicker.
5
The robin now has thicker legs and a wide tail.
Make the legs sturdier by turning them into thicker lines and give the tail a nice shape.
6
Detail drawing of a bird with an eye and legs with small toes.
Draw a round eye in the head and add small toes to the bottom of the legs.
7
A line on the bird's breast indicating the section for the red feathers.
Draw a wavy line on the breast so you know exactly where the red color should go later.
8
A finished robin sitting proudly on a wooden branch.
Erase the guide lines and draw a nice branch under the legs where the bird is resting.
