Drawing a super-fast roadrunner

Birds
Hi little artist! Have you ever seen a bird that runs faster than it flies? Today we are going to draw a real roadrunner with a long tail and a cool crest. Follow the steps and before you know it, he'll be zooming across your paper!
1
Two ovals forming the base for the bird's head and body.
Draw a small oval for the head and a larger horizontal oval for the body.
2
The neck lines and a long stroke for the beak are added.
Connect the head to the body with two lines for the neck and draw a straight line for the beak.
3
A long guide line for the roadrunner's tail.
Draw a long, slanted line from the back of the body for the large tail.
4
Lines for the legs and the first shape of the wing.
Place two slanted lines under the body for the legs and draw a small curve for the wing.
5
Thicker shapes for the beak, wing, and legs.
Make the legs and the beak a bit thicker and give the wing a nice shape.
6
Details such as the eye, the crest on the head, and a thicker tail.
Draw an eye in the head, a crest on top, and give the tail more volume.
7
Feathers on the wing and small toes at the bottom of the legs.
Draw small curves for the feathers on the wings and don't forget the toes on the legs.
8
The finished roadrunner with clean lines on a ground surface.
Erase the guide lines, trace the outer lines darkly, and draw a line for the ground.
