Drawing a cool raven

Birds
Hi little artist! Today we are going to draw a raven, one of the smartest birds in the forest. With simple shapes like circles and lines, you'll conjure a bird onto paper in no time. Are you joining in?
1
Basic shapes of a raven: a circle for the head and a large oval for the body.
Draw a small circle for the head and a large oval for the body, connected by a diagonal line.
2
Guide lines for the neck and the long tail of the raven.
Draw two lines for the neck and a long straight line at the back for the tail.
3
Sketch of the beak on the head and the legs under the body.
Make a triangle on the head for the beak and place two sticks under the body for the legs.
4
Shape of the wing and a thicker beak drawn with pencil.
Draw a large curved line in the middle of the body for the wing and give the beak more shape.
5
Details of the eye and the sturdy legs of the bird.
Draw a small circle for the eye and make the legs a bit thicker with small toes.
6
Lines indicating the feathers on the wing and the tail of the raven.
Give the wing and the tail nice straight lines so they look like real feathers.
7
The raven is now sitting on a branch and has small feathers on its chest.
Draw a thick branch under the feet and add small feathers on the bird's chest.
8
The completed drawing of a black raven on a branch.
Erase the guide lines and color your raven very dark with black or dark gray.
