Drawing a cute porcupine

Hi little artist! Today we are going to create a very special animal: a porcupine. Although they look prickly, this little pig on paper is very sweet. Grab your pencil and eraser, and let's get started together!

Two circles forming the basis for the body and the head of the porcupine.
Draw a large horizontal oval for the body and a smaller circle for the head.

Guide lines connecting the head and the body into one whole.
Connect the head and the body with two curved lines for the neck and draw a small arch for the tail.

Small lines under the body for the position of the legs.
Draw short lines under the body where the legs should go and a line for the snout.

The legs and the snout now get their first real shape.
Now make the legs thicker and draw a pointed shape for the porcupine's nose.

The face of the porcupine with an eye and a round nose.
Draw a small round eye, a little nose, and give the tail more shape.

Details such as toes and the first prickly hairs on the back.
Give the legs small toes and start drawing the first quills on the back.

The porcupine now gets many sharp quills all over its back.
Now draw long, sharp quills all over the back and don't forget the small claws.

Make the lines of your drawing darker, erase the guide lines, and draw some grass under the paws.
