Drawing a funny platypus

Animals
Hi little artist! Today we are going to draw a very special animal: the platypus. It looks like a mix between a duck and a beaver! Grab your pencil and eraser, and let's get started together.
1
Two ovals forming the basis for the head and body of the platypus.
Draw a small oval for the head and a large horizontal oval for the body.
2
Guide lines for the neck and a long line at the back for the tail.
Connect the head and the body with two short lines for the neck and draw a line for the tail.
3
Small circles for the position of the legs and a guide line for the beak.
Sketch four small circles under the body where the legs should go and an arc for the beak.
4
The beak and the legs get more shape by making the lines thicker.
Now draw the thick shape of the beak and give the legs their sturdy shape.
5
A wide, flat tail drawn at the end of the body.
Make the tail wide and flat, just like that of a beaver.
6
Details of the toes and the final shape of the bird's beak.
Draw small toes on the legs and neatly finish the edge of the beak.
7
Close-up of the head with an eye and nails on the webbed feet.
Place a small round eye in the head and draw sharp nails on the legs.
8
The platypus gets details such as fur texture and clear lines.
Draw small hairs on the back and make the lines of the tail and beak extra clear.
9
The finished platypus without guide lines on a drawn surface.
Erase the guide lines and draw a line for the ground your animal is standing on.
