Drawing a leopard gecko for kids

Animals
Hi little artist! Today we are going to draw a super cool leopard gecko. This little desert animal has a thick tail and a funny smile. Grab your pencil and eraser, and let's get started quickly!
1
Two ovals forming the base for the head and body of the leopard gecko.
Draw two ovals: a small one for the head and a larger one for the body.
2
The basic shapes connected with a neck and a long guide line for the tail.
Connect the head and the body with two short lines for the neck and draw a long curved line for the tail.
3
Guide lines for the eyes and the mouth on the gecko's head.
Now sketch small circles where the eyes will be and draw a line for the mouth.
4
Four simple lines showing the position of the gecko's legs.
Draw four curved lines from the body to indicate where the legs will go.
5
The outline of the head and the thickness of the legs become visible.
Make the legs and the head thicker by tracing over the lines and give the snout a nice shape.
6
The gecko gets round eyes and a thick, full tail.
Draw the round eyes and make the tail nice and thick along the guide line.
7
Details of the toes and the segments on the thick tail.
Give the legs small, spreading toes and draw lines on the tail for the ridges.
8
The gecko gets its characteristic leopard spots on its back and tail.
Draw small dots and spots all over the body, just like a real leopard.
9
The completed drawing of a leopard gecko without guide lines.
Erase the guide lines and color your gecko with yellow, orange, and brown!
