Drawing a cute kiwi bird

Birds
Hi little artist! Today we are going to draw a very special bird that comes from New Zealand: the kiwi. This bird doesn't have wings to fly with, but it does have a very long beak and soft feathers. Grab your pencil, and let's get started together!
1
Kiwi bird drawing lesson step 1: Basic shapes of the body and head with two ovals.
Draw a large horizontal oval for the body and a smaller circle above it for the head.
2
Kiwi bird drawing lesson step 2: Drawing the neck by connecting the head and the body.
Connect the head and the body with two slightly curved lines to create the neck.
3
Kiwi bird drawing lesson step 3: Drawing a long line for the kiwi's beak.
Draw a very long, thin line at the front of the head for the beak.
4
Kiwi bird drawing lesson step 4: Drawing construction lines for the bird's legs.
Place four straight lines under the body where the legs and toes will go later.
5
Kiwi bird drawing lesson step 5: Shaping the beak and legs with details.
Make the beak slightly thicker and draw sturdy legs with three sharp claws at the bottom.
6
Kiwi bird drawing lesson step 6: Drawing the eye and giving the body a hairy texture.
Draw a small eye in the head and give the body a fluffy edge with short strokes.
7
Kiwi bird drawing lesson step 7: Finishing the drawing with grass and erasing construction lines.
Darken the outlines, draw some grass under the feet, and carefully erase the construction lines.
