Hi little artist! Today we are going to draw a very special bird that comes from New Zealand: the kiwi. This bird doesn't have wings to fly with, but it does have a very long beak and soft feathers. Grab your pencil, and let's get started together!
1
Draw a large horizontal oval for the body and a smaller circle above it for the head.
2
Connect the head and the body with two slightly curved lines to create the neck.
3
Draw a very long, thin line at the front of the head for the beak.
4
Place four straight lines under the body where the legs and toes will go later.
5
Make the beak slightly thicker and draw sturdy legs with three sharp claws at the bottom.
6
Draw a small eye in the head and give the body a fluffy edge with short strokes.
7
Darken the outlines, draw some grass under the feet, and carefully erase the construction lines.
