Drawing a jackal in 8 steps

Animals
Hi little artist! Today we are going to draw a jackal, a clever animal that looks a bit like a wolf. Using simple shapes like circles and lines, we will create a beautiful piece of art together. Are you joining in?
1
Basic shapes of a jackal: a small circle and a large oval.
Draw a small circle for the head and a larger oval for the body of the jackal.
2
Guide lines for the neck and a long line for the tail of the jackal.
Connect the head and the body with two lines for the neck and draw a long curved line for the tail.
3
Sketch of the snout and straight lines for the legs of the jackal.
Make a small triangle on the head for the snout and draw straight lines downwards for the legs.
4
Drawing large pointed ears and thicker legs on the jackal.
Draw two large, pointed ears on top of the head and give the legs a bit more shape.
5
Details of the face and a fluffy tail for the jackal.
Draw a small nose, an eye, and give the tail a full, hairy shape.
6
Details of the paws and the inside of the large ears.
Finish the feet by drawing small toes and add some lines to the inside of the ears.
7
Drawing claws on the paws and fur details on the jackal.
Draw small claws on the toes and add short strokes across the body for a hairy coat.
8
The completed drawing of a jackal with grass under its paws.
Now make the lines of your jackal extra dark, erase the guide lines, and draw some grass under its paws.
