Drawing a Howling Wolf: Step-by-Step Drawing Lesson

Animals
Do you hear that sound in the distance? That's a wolf singing to the moon! Today we are going to draw a beautiful howling wolf together. Grab your pencil and eraser, because we're getting started right away with this fun drawing lesson.
1
Basic shapes of a wolf: a large oval for the body and a small circle for the head.
Draw a large horizontal oval for the body and a smaller circle above it for the head.
2
Two lines connecting the head and the body of the wolf.
Connect the head and the body with two curved lines to create a strong neck.
3
Guide lines for the legs and a long line for the wolf's tail.
Draw a long, curved line at the back for the tail and guide lines for the legs.
4
The wolf's snout points upwards and the ears are on top of the head.
Make a small triangle on the head for the snout pointing upwards and draw the ears.
5
Thick lines forming the front and back legs of the wolf.
Now give the legs real shape by drawing thicker lines along the guide lines.
6
A thick tail and a small eye on the wolf's head.
Draw a full, fluffy tail and add a small dash for the closed eye.
7
Details of the paws and small strokes that look like wolf hair.
Draw the toes on the paws and add small jagged lines for the soft fur.
8
The finished drawing of the howling wolf on a small hill.
Erase the guide lines and draw a nice ground for the wolf to stand on.
