Drawing a happy grasshopper in 9 steps

Hi little artist! Today we are going to draw a real jumping champion: the grasshopper. Grab your pencil and paper, because we are going to work step by step. It's easier than you think!

A small circle with a diagonal line for the base of the grasshopper.
Draw a small circle for the head and draw a diagonal guide line through it.

An oval behind the head and two curved lines for the antennae.
Attach an elongated oval to the head for the body and draw two antennae on top.

Guide lines for the legs under the body of the grasshopper.
Draw thin lines under the body where the legs will eventually go.

Thicker antennae and the start of the small front legs.
Make the antennae a bit thicker and start drawing the first small legs.

A large curved back leg in the shape of an inverted V.
Now draw the large, strong back leg that stands up at a sharp angle.

Add a long, narrow shape on the back of the grasshopper for the wings.
