Drawing a Giant Panda in 9 Steps

Animals
Hi little artist! Today we are going to draw a big, fluffy giant panda. Pandas always look a bit like big teddy bears. With simple shapes like circles and ovals, you'll conjure a panda onto your paper in no time!
1
Basic shapes of a panda: a large oval for the body and a circle for the head.
Draw a large horizontal oval for the body and a smaller circle above it for the head.
2
Lines connecting the head and the body of the panda.
Connect the head and the body with two soft lines to create the neck.
3
Guide lines for the four legs under the panda's body.
Draw four guide lines downwards where the thick legs should go.
4
A small arch on the head for the panda's snout.
Create the panda's snout by drawing a small arch in the middle of the face.
5
Thick shapes for the giant panda's legs.
Now draw the thick shapes of the front and back legs around the guide lines.
6
Round ears on the head and small toes on the paws.
Draw two round ears on top of the head and add small lines for the toes.
7
Face details with eyes and a small nose.
Draw two small circles for the eyes and a small triangle for the nose.
8
The panda gets its characteristic black eye patches and thicker lines.
Make the panda's lines a bit thicker and add the famous black patches around the eyes.
9
The finished drawing of a giant panda with black and white areas.
Erase the guide lines and color the ears, legs, and eye patches a nice black.
