Drawing an echidna: step-by-step for children

Animals
Hi little artist! Today we are going to draw a very special animal: the echidna. It looks a bit like a hedgehog, but it has a very long snout to catch ants with. Grab your pencil and eraser, and let's get started together!
1
A small oval with guide lines for the head of the echidna.
Draw a small horizontal oval for the head and put a small cross in it for the center.
2
Drawing a large oval behind the head for the body of the echidna.
Draw a much larger oval behind the head for the body and connect them with a short neck.
3
Drawing lines for the legs and the long snout of the echidna.
Draw guide lines under the body for the legs and a curved line on the head for the snout.
4
Shaping the snout and the legs of the echidna with thicker lines.
Make the snout longer and thicker and give the legs a sturdy shape.
5
Drawing small toes on the legs of the echidna.
Draw small arches at the end of the legs for the toes.
6
Drawing an eye and a round nose on the head of the echidna.
Draw a small round eye on the head and make the tip of the snout round.
7
Drawing claws on the legs and adding details to the eye.
Give the echidna sharp claws on its toes and further refine the eye.
8
Drawing sharp spikes on the back of the echidna.
Now draw short, pointed spikes all over the back of the echidna.
9
Finishing the echidna drawing and erasing guide lines.
Make the lines of your drawing darker, draw the ground, and erase the guide lines.
