Drawing a cute chinchilla in 8 steps

Animals
Hi little artist! Today we are going to draw a chinchilla, which is a very soft animal with big ears. Grab your pencil and eraser, because we're going to start with simple circles. Are you joining in?
1
Two ovals for the base of the head and the body of the chinchilla.
Draw two ovals that slightly touch each other: a small one for the head and a large one for the body.
2
The outline of the body with a long line for the tail.
Draw a line around the ovals so it becomes one solid body and add a curved line for the tail.
3
Round shapes for the ears and guide lines for the chinchilla's legs.
Make two large circles on top of the head for the ears and put small lines for the legs.
4
The ears and legs get more shape and volume.
Give the ears a nice shape and make the legs a bit thicker.
5
Eyes in the face and a thick tail at the back.
Draw the round eyes in the face and make the tail nice, thick, and fluffy.
6
Details of the toes and the inside of the large ears.
Draw small toes on the feet and give the inside of the ears more detail.
7
Adding whiskers and small claws to the drawing.
Add small claws and draw the nose and the long whiskers of the chinchilla.
8
The completed drawing of the chinchilla with shading and a ground surface.
Erase the guide lines, trace the outer lines darker, and draw the ground it is sitting on.
