Drawing a cheerful blue bird

Birds
Hi little artist! Today we are going to draw a beautiful blue bird sitting happily on a branch. Using simple shapes like circles and lines, you'll conjure a bird onto your paper in no time. Follow the steps and before you know it, you'll have a new drawn friend!
1
Draw two ovals for the body and the head of the bird.
Draw a large oval for the body and a smaller circle above it for the head.
2
Connect the head and the body with lines for the neck.
Connect the two shapes with soft lines and put a small dash where the beak should go.
3
Guidelines for the tail and the wing of the bird.
Draw a long, slanted line for the tail and a curved line for the wing.
4
Guidelines for the legs and the edge of the wing.
Place two small dashes under the body where the legs will soon grow.
5
Sketch the beak, the legs, and the first feathers at the tail.
Now create the shape of the beak and draw the start of the legs and the tail feathers.
6
Draw the toes on the legs and divide the beak into two parts.
Give the bird small toes to hold on with and finish the beak with a line in the middle.
7
Draw the eye, the beak, and the shape of the wings.
Draw a nice round eye and give the wings and the beak their final shape.
8
Add details to the entire bird such as feathers.
Add small dashes for the feathers and neatly finish the shapes of your bird everywhere.
9
The completed drawing of the blue bird with all details.
Erase the guidelines, darken the outer lines, and color your bird a beautiful blue!
