Drawing a cute chick: step-by-step for children

Birds
Hi little artist! Today we are going to draw a very cute, little chick together. Grab your pencil and a white piece of paper. We will start with simple shapes and before you know it, you'll have your own drawn friend!
1
Two ovals forming the head and the body of the chick.
Draw a small circle for the head and a larger oval underneath for the body.
2
Guide lines for the neck and the tail of the chick.
Connect the head and the body with two short lines for the neck and draw a guide line for the tail.
3
Simple lines for the legs and a small triangle for the beak.
Draw two thin sticks under the body for the legs and a small triangle on the head for the beak.
4
Thicker shapes for the beak and the legs of the chick.
Now make the legs and the beak a bit thicker by drawing the shapes around them.
5
An eye, a wing, and small toes on the legs.
Draw a round eye in the middle of the head and give the chick a small wing on its belly.
6
Details such as the tail feathers and the opening of the beak.
Finish the tail with a few pointed feathers and give the beak a line in the middle.
7
The chick gets small feathers and details all over its body.
Now draw small dashes all along the edges so that the chick looks nice and soft and fluffy.
8
The completed drawing of the chick without guide lines.
Erase the guide lines you no longer need and trace the most important lines extra dark.
